CHESS TEAM
The lack of a coach this year didn't keep the International Community School's Chess team from participating in the 2007 Washington High School State Team Championship Feb. 9 and 10 at Issaquah High School.
The team took eighth place out of 38 high school teams, and Christian Lee received a medal for winning all five of his matches. The ICS team consisted of Vishnu Warrier, Anthony Cutler, Christian Lee, Andrew Nakamura and Cody Maloney.
MUSICIANS
The annual Northlake Regional Solo andEnsemble Festival was held this year at Juanita High School on Feb. 10. This all-day event included musical soloists and ensemble groups from almost all the Eastside high schools in the Northlake region.
