Human remains found in QA bushes

Seattle Parks and Recreation employees clearing blackberry bushes from an overgrown campsite in Queen Anne uncovered human bones.

The remains were found on the steep hillside in the 600 block of Galer Street around 11:40 a.m. Thursday, April 11. According to the Seattle Police Department, the bones had been there “for a significant period of time.”

Homicide and CSI detectives responded to the scene, and King County Medical Examiner personnel took custody of the remains.

This case is under active investigation.
