Hopelink's Eastside Literacy program needs volunteers to help adults learn to read or earn a General Education Development (GED) diploma, or to assist non-native English speakers to improve their English skills.
Hopelink is also seeking volunteers to teach cooking on a budget, money management and computer skills including job searching online and resume-writing. Library volunteers and general office support volunteers are needed as well. Training for all positions is provided.
Learn more about volunteering at one of three Hopelink volunteer orientation meetings on April 4. Orientations will be held at the following locations and times:
❚ Eastside Literacy program offices, 15015 Main Street, Suite 206 in Kelsey Creek Center (across from the Hopelink building), Bellevue, 1-2:30 p.m., and again from 7-8:30 p.m.
❚ Hopelink's Northshore center, 18220 96th Ave. N.E., Bothell, 1-2:30 p.m. The orientations start promptly at 1 p.m.
