The Georgetown Orbits, a jazz-ska-reggae revue, takes the Summerfest Main Stage on Saturday, Aug. 4 at 7:45 P.M. to close out the music portion of the festival. The Magnolia Village Sidewalk Sale begins Thursday, Aug. 2 — a soft opening to Summerfest proper, which kicks off Friday, Aug. 3 at 11 a.m. The festival closes Saturday, Aug. 4 at 10 p.m. In between, the Magnolia Ballfield behind Magnolia Village will be busy. One late addition: Magnolia artist Brom Wickstrom is the featured artist for the art show. This year’s Outdoor Cinema movie is “Princess Bride,” on Friday at 9 p.m. The Seafair Kids’ Parade gets under way on Saturday at 10:30 a.m., followed by the Main Seafair Parade at 11 a.m. The ever-popular Baby Races at Magnolia Garden Center follow at noon.
