The Queen Anne Helpline will once again open its annual Christmas tree lot, on Saturday, Nov. 30, at 9 a.m.
Each year the Helpline, in partnership with Boy Scout Troop 72, operates a Christmas tree lot in the north parking lot next to Safeway (1600 Queen Anne Ave N.). In addition to trees, the lot also will have garland, wreaths, mistletoe and the ever-popular, free popcorn.
The tree lot will open 2 to 8 p.m. weekdays, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. weekends and until 9 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.
The tree lot is one of the Helpline’s major fundraisers of the year, with all proceeds helping support the Helpline (queenannehelpline.org). The agency helps to meet the needs of some of the area’s most vulnerable neighbors with rent and utility assistance, clothing, food, bus tickets and a new Weekend Food for Kids program.
