Frank Charles Smythson died suddenly Nov. 4, 2009 with his wife, Evelyne, at his side. Mr. Smythson is survived by Evelyne, his wife of 32 years; children, Greg Jackson (Janice), Cynthia Jackson and Pamela Jackson; grandchildren, Travis, Kyle, Tyler, Kayley, and Lindsay; sister-in-law, Bev (Mick) and brother-in-law, Bob (Mark).

Mr. Smythson was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada on April 12, 1920. He was a fighter pilot with the Royal Air Force during World War II. Following the war, Mr. Smythson received his music degree at McGill University and went on to become an accomplished and highly regarded pianist.

His profession as a musician took him to live and work in Montreal, Winnipeg, Vancouver, Hawaii and Seattle. At the time of his death Mr. Smythson was still performing at the Seattle Yacht Club. He will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by his family and friends. Funeral Mass was celebrated at Our Lady of Fatima Church, Seattle.
