A crowd of approximately 800 people from the community gathered for food, fun and laughs at the annual Fatima Fall Festival Saturday night.
It had been hot all day and the warm evening likely added to the large attendence.
Last year the festival raised $6,000 after all the costs were subtracted.
"This is our event for the entire community verses a big fundraiser for the school," said Principal Susan Burdett, "but I think it's going to be our most successful festival ever."
The festival was held on at the Our Lady of Fatima School parking lot and gym and was open to the community. This year's theme was "Fatima's Fast Track to the Finish"
John Goodman of Goodman Racing (Magnolia), had his 1966 corvette "French Connection" on display in the center of the festival.
The rides included two Monkey Motions, modular dula lane slide (with a racing car panel), Xtreme rush obstacle course, race car bouncer, Gooseneck trailer and large blow up Human Sphere balls.
Several games and activities were available including the cake walk, fishing, karaoke, race car themed photo booth, face painting, general store and candy store. More than 100 cakes were donated to the cake walk.[[In-content Ad]]
