Freshman defender Shayla Page, who scored a goal in both games the last week of September, received the Great Northwest Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week award for women’s soccer.
Page netted a golden goal with 10 seconds left in the final overtime on Saturday, lifting the Falcons(6-2-2) to a 2-1 home victory over Saint Martin’s. She headed in a corner kick from Megan Lindsay to avoid a third consecutive 1-1 draw.
The product of Redmond’s Eastlake High School scored Thursday on an 82nd-minute header to account for SPU’s lone goal in a 1-1 tie with Western Oregon.
Page tallied goals in three of the last four games. That trio of goals ties her for second in scoring on the team.
The three-time defending GNAC champion Falcons are third in the GNAC standings with a 3-1-2 record.
