Dress for Success taking women's clothes donations through March 17

Through Saturday, March-17, the YWCA will hold its annual Dress for Success weeklong suit drive to collect interview and work-appropriate clothing, accessories and financial donations.

Many women have been forced to relocate because of an abusive situation, possibly spending months in a series of shelters or due to job loss and other disruptive life experiences. Having proper interview clothing is unlikely.

Throughout Send One Suit Week, Seattle area women can drop off donations of suits and accessories at any Dressbarn store in the Seattle area, and are encouraged to take advantage of local sponsor events, or organize a suit drive on their own, through their company, community organization or neighborhood group.

ITEMS NEEDED

* Skirt or pantsuits (especially sizes 16 and above): coordinated, contemporary, interview-appropriate styles;

* Dress coats (especially sizes 16 and above);

* Accessories: umbrellas, jewelry, small earrings, purses, day planners, scarves, shoes (sizes 9-12, black, navy, brown), knee-high stockings . (Downtown Starbucks are accepting accessory donations);
