Donald A. Bolstad, 76, of Wenatchee, died Wednesday, June 19, 2013.
Dan previously lived on Queen Anne Hill and attended the United Presbyterian Church. He graduated from Queen Anne High School in 1955. He was an honor student and lettered in basketball and tennis. He was the Tennis Inspirational Award winner in his senior year.
He worked on the aerospace wing design team for the supersonic transport at Boeing in Seattle, and in 1972 he worked for the Lockheed Martin Space Shuttle Program in New Orleans, as a technical achievement manager for the external tank of the space shuttle, retiring in 2002.
Survivors include his wife, Iris Bolstad of Wenatchee; his sons, Ted Bolstad of Reno, Nev., and Dan Bolstad of Seattle; and his brother, Phil Bolstad of Prescott, Ariz.
A “Celebration of Life” service will be held Sat., Aug. 3, at 11am in the Wenatchee Free Methodist Church. Arrangements are by Jones & Jones-Betts Funeral Home, Wenatchee.
