Discovery Park open again

Cougar capture means park back to normal

Seattle Parks and Recreation has reopened Discovery Park after the capture of a cougar that had been seen in the park.

Department of Fish and Wildlife (WDFW) officials caught the cougar about 2:40 a.m. , Sept. 5 near the Daybreak Star Center. WDFW had previously set two live traps on the site. The animal was captured with tracking dogs after an employee at Daybreak Star saw the cougar.
