The owner of Magnolia's The Mail Box is recognized for his support of other businesses and organizations

The Magnolia Chamber of Commerce has chosen Dan Penhollow as their Business Person of 2011.

Penhollow, owner and operator of The Mail Box on West McGraw Street, has long served the community in many ways. He has volunteered his time as secretary of the Chamber board, site and logistics chairman for Summerfest and, most importantly, with his general helpfulness and over-the-top assistance to those who do business with him.

Penhollow has also worked with many of the nonprofits and community organizations in the Magnolia area, assisting them any way he could including often making copies for them for free. Penhollow is also known for his courageous battle against throat cancer in 2010. He underwent surgery and chemotherapy in the summer of 2010, but with the help of a great staff, he kept his business open and continued to work when he could. He beat cancer and is now fully recovered.
