Around town, things are gearing up for holidays. Seattle Rep is starting the season with a one-woman show that starts this month and runs through November.
At the end of our fantastic summer, new businesses have opened on top of the hill: Cederberg Tea House, as well as a new Cupcake Royale shop.
Halloween is fast approaching, and the Ave will host more than 3,000 little ghosts and ghouls from 3 to 6 p.m. on Oct. 31. We ask that if you can walk over or park a bit away from the main drag, that will keep our kids safe while walking to get treats.
The mayor has his proposed budget out, and it looks like the communities have an increase of $500,000 to the Neighborhood Matching Fund. This increase restores the amount of funds available to support neighborhood projects back to pre-recession levels.
Also, save the date: Holiday Magic on the Ave is Dec. 6.
