The Queen Anne Historical Society's nomination for the Seventh Church of Christ, Scientist has been accepted for City of Seattle Landmarks Board consideration.
The nomination meeting is scheduled for 3:30 p.m., Wednesday, May 6, in Room 4060 of the Seattle Municipal Tower, 40th Floor, 700 Fifth Ave.
If the property is approved by the Landmarks Board for nomination, the designation meeting will be held on June 17.
The new owners of the building, Seattle Church of Christ, have endorsed this nomination. Those interested in the building and want to help preserve it are encouraged to attend and comment at the meeting, or send a letter to the Historic Preservation Office for distribution to the Landmarks Preservation Board prior to the meeting.
The nomination packet is available for public viewing at the Queen Anne branch of the Seattle Public Library, as well as online at www.seattle.gov/neighborhoods/preservation/landmarks under the heading of Current Nominations."
