'Bye Bye Birdie' comes to Magnolia

The Magnolia Theater presents “Bye Bye Birdie,” and musical comedy that features local students from 5th Grade through 8th Grade.

The story of an Elvis Presley-type musician named Conrad Birdie (played by Halina Tracy) as he prepares to go off to military service. He offers to kiss a sweet Midwestern girl goodbye as a publicity stunt. When Kim (played by Grace Vizzare) is chosen for the fateful kiss, all sorts of shenanigans ensue.

The first version of the play will be performed April 26-28. The Thursday performance is at 4 p.m. The other performances are at 7 p.m. Tickets can be bought at the door. The theater is located at the Magnolia United Church of Christ,
