1-Green Planet will collect old computers, printers, TVs, stereo equipment, large and small appliances, barbecues, lawnmowers, lawn furniture — anything made of metal and anything with a plug — during a recycling event on Saturday, May 11. PUBLIC HEARING ON METRO TRANSIT CUTS
The Metropolitan King County Council’s Transportation, Economy and Environment Committee will have a public hearing on Tuesday, May 14, to take testimony on a potential 17-percent cut in bus service for 2014. An open house at 3:30 p.m. will precede the public hearing at 4 p.m. It will take place at 401 S. Jackson St.
