SET FREE MOVEMENT MOVIE NIGHT

FRIENDS OF DISCOVERY PARK

The Friends of Discovery Park will have its annual meeting on Saturday, March 9, from 10 a.m. to noon, at the Discovery Park Visitor Center (3801 Discovery Park Blvd.). A meet-and-greet precedes the meeting, at 9:30 a.m. The featured topic for this meeting is “Off-Leash-Dog Violations in Discovery Park.” The Seattle Parks and Recreation superintendent and the Seattle Animal Shelter director will address the problem, discuss solutions and answer questions. Free Alzheimer’s training sessions

Washington Home Instead Senior Care franchise offices will host free, in-person Alzheimer’s training sessions during November, in conjunction with Alzheimer’s Awareness Month and National Family Caregivers Month.

 The recently launched Alzheimer’s CARE: Changing Aging Through Research and Education program is a first-of-its-kind training program that addresses current and future needs by offering family members a fresh approach to Alzheimer’s care, encouraging mental engagement to help relatives remain safely at home and in familiar surroundings as long as possible.
