The Commercialization of Childhood

Magnolia United Church of Christ presents “Consumer Kids,” at 7 p.m. on Friday, May 18.  This documentary that every parent should see. “Consuming Kids” traces the evolution and impact of this disturbing phenomenon. This is an admission free event.

5K Fun Run

Unleash your inner super hero and join nearly 400 girls at this 5K Fun Run benefitting Girlson the Run of Puget Sound (GOTRPS, girlsrun.org). Paul Dorpat to speak at QAHS & MHS meeting

The Queen Anne Historical Society and the Magnolia Historical Society are proud to announce that Paul Dorpat will present a lecture and slide show program at their annual meeting on Thursday, May 24, starting at 7 p.m. at the Seventh Church of Christ located at 2555 Eighth Avenue West (corner of West Halladay Street.)  Street parking is available and the lecture is free. Light refreshments will be served. In addition, 2012-13 officers for the respective societies will be elected that night.
