A freshman at Roosevelt High School, Regan has been a member of the Wallingford Boys & Girls Club for eight years. She works at the club after school as a program assistant, is a counselor-in-training and is president of the club's Keystone Club.
She also painted her first mural in the club's game room.
Last year alone, she volunteered 300 hours at the club.
The Wallingford resident also is a member of Roosevelt's Common Sense Youth Board, helps put on the school's open-mic night and serves as a Kids Council officer.
"The [club] staff looked at me and saw a leader," Regan said. "They push me to take advantage of every opportunity presented to me. I've never received such encouragement.
"It's actually painful [for me] to see what I'd be without my Boys & Girls Club," she added.
Regan hopes to attend The Art Institute of Seattle to study to be a graphic designer.[[In-content Ad]]
