The newly renovated Magnuson Park boat launch, 7400 Sand Point Way N.E., will reopen on Thursday, May 18.The project included replacing the existing boat-ramp system with new underwater planks, rebuilding the piers and adding an extension float on the northern pier for improved ADA access.Once the boat ramp reopens, the daily rate will be $6, payable through an on-site collection machine. An annual permit also can be purchased through Seattle Parks and Recreations' website (www.seattle.gov/parks).The boat ramp will close again for a few days in late July so that the contractor can finish the remaining underwater repairs. A federal regulation allows construction only between July 17 and March 13.For more information, visit www.seattle.gov/parks/magnuson/boating.htm.[[In-content Ad]]
