Bible School celebration

A celebration of the 35th Magnolia Ecumenical Vacation Bible School was held June 25 and ran through June 28 at Magnolia Lutheran Church.

This year’s theme was “God’s Garden” — Catherine Hennessey was overall chairperson with the help of other adults and teens as tent leaders, bread breakers and in other helper capacities, including music and crafts.

Victoria Watson received The Founder’s Thank You Award in memory of Robert Kenneth Ames for her work with teenagers.

A poem, “Under His Wings Shall Thee I Trust a New Song to Sing,” was read during the three-day event written by Janet Halton Ames, founder of Magnolia Ecumenical Vacation Bible School.
