Ballard High School awarded 50K Wireless Technology Lab

Ballard High School has won one of five grand prizes given away by Discovery Education and CDW-G in honor of its Win a Wireless Lab sweepstakes. Now in its fifth year, the sweepstakes aims to help K-12 schools across the nation easily and effectively integrate technology resources into the classroom curriculum.

Ballard High School will receive 20 HP notebook computers, D-Link wireless access points, Bretford wireless cart, Computrace security software, Mitsubishi projector, Lexmark printer, APC power supply and a multimedia CD-ROM collection from Discovery Education.

Ballard High School Principal Phil Brockman said, "We're grateful to have these laptops and technology in our school, they will help advance writing and research projects that directly relate to student achievement. I would also like to give thanks to Mary Davison, one of our teachers in the Academy of Finance, who submitted the winning entry."

Ballard High School is located at 1418 N.W. 65th St. and serves just over 1,600 high school students.
