Arthur Lampkin, helped others

Born Sept. 28, 1909 in Redwood City, Calif., Arthur W. Lampkin is survived by his daughter, Sue, and son-in-law, Jim Bogdan, four grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and one great, great grandchild. Art moved to Newport Beach to be closer to his family Scott and Laura Bogdan, Jeff and Nicole Bogdan. He loved being with them and their families.
Mr. Lampkin enjoyed life, family, traveling, bridge, golf and helping others. He helped to start the Queen Anne Food Bank in Seattle and fed many in need on Queen Anne Hill. He also spent many volunteer hours helping Queen Anne Helpline and served as volunteer, director or on the board of directors for the charities. He was the ultimate gentleman and will be fondly remembered. Memorial service to be held at 11 a.m., Friday, Sept. 19 at Bethany Presbyterian Church at 1818 Queen Anne Ave N.
