Antioch an asset to Kirkland, school district

To the editor:

I was surprised at the unusually vicious and one-sided attack in your July edition railing against Antioch Bible Church. The article is simply an opinion piece reflecting the bias of teacher's union president, Kevin Teeley.

Whatever happened to the journalistic tradition of reporting both sides? Even if Antioch members did not want to be quoted, there are others in the community who can speak about the positive aspects of the church. I am not a member of Antioch, but I appreciate their presence in Kirkland. They are a racially diverse congregation that provides support services for families, such as adoption and marriage counseling, among other ministries.

Kirkland and Lake Washington School District should welcome their presence!
