After settling a lawsuit with developer TRF Pacific earlier this year, Whole Foods at Interbay has announced a fall opening.
According Vicki Foley, a spokesperson for Whole Foods in the Northwest region, Whole Foods will open at the Interbay Urban Center, 1819 15th Ave. W., Oct. 14 - making it the fifth Whole Foods in the Seattle area.
The new market will be 38,000 square feet, scaled down from its original planned size of 60,000 square feet, which was a contentious point that nearly stalled Whole Foods development at the site. When Whole Foods announced their plans to downsize and stall opening, TRF Pacific filed a lawsuit, but with the dispute settled the store will open in time for its original goal of fall 2009 before the holiday season.
The Whole Foods, the central tenant in the 80,000 square foot retail center, will share the Interbay Urban Center with some smaller retail spaces like Interbay Cleaners, The Magic Dragon Chinese Eatery and Peet's Coffee & Tea.
The new Whole Foods will feature a salad bar, hot bar and a coffee shop among other services, such as cooking classes and demonstrations. There will also be a full-service meat and seafood case.[[In-content Ad]]
