The Queen Anne Community Council’s Land Use Review Committee will have its first meeting of the new year at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 22.

On the agenda is an update on the Queen Anne Safeway redevelopment at 2100 Queen Anne Ave. N.

Developer barrientosRYAN has made project changes since its showing at the West Design Review Boardlast October.

The project includes a 50,000-square-foot urban concept Safeway store, 323 residential units and 344 parking spaces underneath.

The committee will also learn about electronic signage proposals for the Seattle Center arena rebuild.

Last on the agenda is an update on the six-story mixed-use development at 2220 Queen Anne Ave. N., where The Thai Kitchen currently sits on the top of the hill.

Shilshole Development is planning to replace the restaurant with 40-42 apartment units on top of 1,400 square feet of retail space and parking for up to four vehicles.

A number of residents have so far submitted public comment on the project calling the proposed parking inadequate while others have written letters of support.
