Queen Anne Greenways is hosting its fourth annual Playstreets program from 4-7 p.m. on Thursday, July 18.

The event closes down First Avenue West, between Crockett and Howe streets, and opens it up for play. Featured events include a Seattle Adventure Sports climbing wall, Blue Highways devilish board games, Queen Anne Community Center’s Ride’em Race track, Atencio Yoga for Kids, Mud Junket Band and Heather Graham Parasol Painting.

“Queen Anne Greenways is pleased to bring back its Playstreets Program,” said Queen Anne Greenways member and organizer Mark Spitzer. “The Farmers Market will be there too, so come for the fun and stay for dinner!”

Queen Anne Greenways works to increase mobility and accessibility for people of all ages and physical ability, including walking, biking and driving, with an emphasis on safety.

Playstreets is a way to inspire action to make streets more safe while having fun in them.

Another Playstreet will take place 4-7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 15.
