Chef Maximillian Petty of Eden Hill will be in the kitchen at FareStart (700 Virginia St.) for the nonprofit's weekly Guest Chef Night on Aug. 23. 

For $29.95 (tax, beverage, and gratuity not included) diners can enjoy a three-course meal, prepared by the three-time James Beard Rising Star of the Year Award nominee with the help of FareStart students. Wine, beer, and non-alcoholic beverages are available for purchase.

Reservations can be made online for parties of two to seven people, while larger groups are asked to call 206.267.7601 or email reservations@farestart.org. Seatings are every 15 minutes between 5:30 and 8 p.m., sans 7 and 7:15 p.m., when the week's graduates of FareStart's 16-week culinary training program are honored. Those opting for the vegetarian alternative should note their preference when making a reservation. 

Visa, MasterCard, and American Express are accepted for payment, along with personal check, cash, and FareStart gift cards. Reservations for parties of eight or more are held with a credit card. 

Since 1992, Guest Chef Nights have raised more than $6 million to support job training, placement, and support for the more than 9,500 adults and youth served by the organization.
