Carmel was such a beautiful selfless person, so full of life, so adventurous, so much her own person. Even though it was too short by far, she lived a full life, and accomplished so much.  Carmel always thought of others first. She truly wanted to know how you were and what she could do for you. Carmel was clean in word, thought and deed. As a very private person she kept her personal life to herself. She was deeply passionate and completely devoted to her family, loved ones and friends. Her calling was to light a pathway for children (Littles), her vehicle for this was “Sweet Pea”. Here she touched so many lives. Carmel spent holidays travelling and helping where she could in third world counties.

Carmel is survived by her Mother, Donna Sage, Grandfather Gordon Sage, brothers Shane, Wade, Ryan, Uncles Patrick and William Bird and her beloved Barnaby. She was predeceased by her Father Darell Bird, grandparents Patricia Sage, Jeanette and Edward Bird.
