The Seattle Parks District is seeking resident input about what projects they would like included in Cycle 2 of the 2023-28 park district budget. Planning for Cycle 2 of the Seattle Park District was delayed twice already because of the COVID-19 pandemic and economic impacts. Comments can be submitted through May 12.

Residents are encouraged to provide feedback for the plan by completing surveys on three related topics: enhancing access and services; restoring clean, safe and welcoming parks and facilities; and investing in the future. Go to https://www.seattle.gov/seattle-park-district/park-district-planning/park-district-funding-plan for more information and for the links to the surveys.

People can also provide community feedback at a community check-in of this week’s online Board of Parks and Recreation Commissioners meeting, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, April 14, via Web-Ex. Go to http://www.seattle.gov/board-of-parks-and-recreation-commissioners/calendar for the link to register. Residents can also submit feedback about the plan at PDPlanning@seattle.gov.

The Seattle Park District provides Seattle Parks and Recreation with funds to increase the investment in maintenance, recreation, affordability, park development and supporting community programs.
