Residents who want to participate in the upcoming early design review for the proposed Magnolia Safeway and housing project have through Wednesday to return their comments to city staff. 

People are invited to comment on site planning and design issues they believe should be addressed. 

The project entails demolishing the current Albertsons at 2550 32nd Ave. W. and constructing a seven-story, 138-unit apartment building with retail ­— a Safeway store— and parking for 224 vehicles.
