Volunteers for We Heart Seattle stand behind a small mountain of trashbags and other debris collected from the Queen Anne Greenbelt this past weekend. We Heart Seattle is a grassroots organization dedicated to making Seattle beautiful and safe for all. According to a news release, about 30 volunteers started at the MacLean Park trailhead and fanned down the northeast Queen Anne Greenbelt trail all the way to Aurora Ave North and picked up trash. It was the latest in numerous clean-ups in recent weeks, bringing the total debris removed from this site to almost 30,000 pounds.
