Queen Anne Book Co. (1811 Queen Anne Ave. N.) will host a number of local authors as guest booksellers from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. for Indies First 2015 on Small Business Saturday, Nov. 28. 

The authors, all Seattle or Pacific Northwest residents, will be in the store talking to customers and recommending their favorite books:

•Sanae Ishida, author of the children’s book “Little Kunoichi,” 10 a.m.

•Queen Anne resident Allison Stieger, forthcoming author and first person to reverse-showroom Amazon Books, 11 a.m.

•Sarah Adler, author of the health and lifestyle cookbook “Simply Real Health,” Noon

•Lala Rukh, author of the cookbook “Ooh Lala,” a Pakistani-American cookbook, 1 p.m.

•Children’s authors/illustrators Elizabeth Rose Stanton, author of “Henny,” and Toni Yuly, author of “Night Owl,” 1 p.m.

•Prize-winning author Sherman Alexie, author of many prize-winning books, 2 p.m.

•Queen Anne resident Erin Malone, author of “Hover,” a poetry collection, 3 p.m.

•Jessixa Bagley, author/illustrator of children’s book “Boats for Papa,” 3 p.m.

Independent bookstores across the country and internationally will participate in Indies First, which Alexie launched at Queen Anne Book Co. in 2013.

Small Business Saturday, founded by American Express in 2010, is celebrated every year on the Saturday after Thanksgiving, to help the local businesses that help to create jobs, boost the economy and preserve neighborhoods.
