Chef Maximillian Petty of Eden Hill will be in the kitchen at FareStart (700 Virginia St.) for the nonprofit's weekly Guest Chef Night on Aug. 23. 

For $29.95 (tax, beverage, and gratuity not included) diners can enjoy a three-course meal, prepared by the three-time James Beard Rising Star of the Year Award nominee with the help of FareStart students. Wine, beer, and non-alcoholic beverages are available for purchase.

Reservations can be made online for parties of two to seven people, while larger groups are asked to call 206.267.7601 or email Seatings are every 15 minutes between 5:30 and 8 p.m., sans 7 and 7:15 p.m., when the week's graduates of FareStart's 16-week culinary training program are honored. Those opting for the vegetarian alternative should note their preference when making a reservation. 

Visa, MasterCard, and American Express are accepted for payment, along with personal check, cash, and FareStart gift cards. Reservations for parties of eight or more are held with a credit card. 

Since 1992, Guest Chef Nights have raised more than $6 million to support job training, placement, and support for the more than 9,500 adults and youth served by the organization.
