Seattle Strength and Performance, a personal gym with trained coaches, has opened a second location in Queen Anne, 601 W. McGraw St. It joins the original facility in South Lake Union.

According to a press release, owner Chris Travis joined SSP as a member five years ago before becoming a coach and then owner. Before pursuing health and fitness full time, he worked at Amazon for 10 years.

“For me, when I thought about opening a space of my own, I knew that what I believed in was wholeheartedly rooted in the principles of what SSP brings to the community,” Travis said in the press release. “... As an organization, I believe SSP truly does an incredible job of helping people across any walk of life be able to move better and get the results they are looking for. We do this by really focusing on the individual, not just putting people in classes or giving them one-off workouts. This truly differentiates us.”

SSP provides personal training and strength and conditioning classes for the community. Gym hours are from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday; 4:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday; and 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday and Sunday.
