Queen Anne Book Company (1811 Queen Anne Ave. N.) is hosting three author events this coming week, starting with “Mockingbird” author Julie Trimingham, who will read from her book and sign copies at 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 7, in anticipation of a literary tour of Cuba in March.

Gail Carriger, author of “Curtsies & Conspiracies,” will join the store’s staff in Steampunk regalia for Steampunk Tea on Saturday, Nov. 9, at 2 p.m. Queen Anne’s Cederberg Tea House will provide the tea.

On Monday, Nov. 11, at 7 p.m. Erin McKittrick will present a slide show and read from her book “Small Land, Big Feet,” a nonfiction work about her life in Alaska.

At Charley + May (2225 Queen Anne Ave. N.), Karen Tripson, author of “The Cooking Class in Kuala Lumpur,” will sign books and offer a Malaysian food tasting on Friday, Nov. 8, from 4 to 6 p.m. Admission is free to this event.
