Permit applications

3414 THIRD AVE. W. (3015956) for a Land Use Application to install six 60-ft. tall light poles at Seattle Pacific University’s athletic field (Wallace Field). Pedestrian lighting included on three poles located at the north end of the field. Review includes request for minor amendment to Major Institution Master Plan. The following approvals are required: Shoreline Substantial Development to allow development in the US zone; Shoreline Variance to allow athletic field light poles to exceed the height in an Urban Stable Shoreline environment. Building permit may be needed but was not included in this application. Written comments accepted through Dec. 20.

2249 14TH AVE. W. (3015446) for a Land Use Application to allow two three-story townhouse structures, (one three-unit and one two-unit, for a total of five units) in an environmentally critical area. Below-grade parking for five vehicles to be provided within the structures. Existing structures to be demolished. The following approvals are required: Streamlined Design Review; SEPA environmental determination. (This project is subject to the Optional DNS Process (WAC 197-11-355) and Early DNS Process (SMC 25.05.355). This comment period may be the only opportunity to comment on the environmental impacts of this proposal.) Building and demolition permits may be needed but were not included in this application.
