Luella Elizabeth Gilje: Wonderful mother, loved traveling and flowers in Skagit County
Luella Elizabeth Gilje passed away peacefully on June 12, at the age of 86.
Ms. Gilje was born March 30, 1924 in Marshalltown, Iowa. She spent her early years growing up in Sioux City, Iowa. In March 1945 Luella married Chief Petty Officer Earl S. Robinson Sr. Mr. Robinson was a career Navy man and they travelled throughout the United States, Cuba and to Guam, having three children along the way. Traveling from Maryland, California, Rhode Island, Cuba and then to Guam, the latter where her parents, Henry and Mabel Schimberg, had lived since 1949. Ms. Gilje and Mr. Robinson divorced on Guam.

James Edward Ross: Family man; caught a record 50-pound salmon
James Edward Ross was born Feb. 28, 1937, and died June 1, 2010. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Esther, and three children: Sharon Anne Ross Omaits (Bill); James Edward Ross, Jr. (Cindy); and Jeffery Paul Ross; his six grandchildren, Thomas James Petruzzo (Rose), John Ross Petruzzo and Rebecca Linnea Petruzzo; and Jamie Anne Ross (Luca), James Edward Ross, III (Sarah) and Justin Hilton Ross, and three great grandchildren, Thomas, Jordan and Jasmine Petruzzo.

Lorene E. Currier was born Aug. 11, 1918 in Seattle, to Marie Wagner and Dana Currier. She lived her entire life in the Seattle area. The city was her home, and was always dear to her heart. She died April 26.
