Storm thunders way to finals
Seattle Storm center Lauren Jackson pulls down one of her 17 rebounds during last week’s win against the Phoenix Mercury 82-74 at KeyArena. The Storm finished the Mercury on Sunday, 91-88 thanks to a key three-pointer by guard Sue Bird. The twin wins put the Storm back into the finals for the first time since they won it all in 2004.

The Seattle Storm led by WNBA most valuable player Lauren Jackson were too much for the Phoenix Mercury in game 1 of the Western Conference Finals Thursday evening at a sold out KeyArena.

Magnolia Soccer players see Stars
Seattle Sounder star David Estrada signs the jersey of Magnolia's Paolo Almario recently when Estrada and fellow Sounder star Jamel Wallace came to a Magnolia Soccer League practice to greet the U-6 kids. The Sounder players even demonstrated a few professional moves for the young soccer fans.
