Classical KING-FM 98.1 radio has been recognized by RAIN Enterprises, a national organization recognizing achievements in the Internet radio industry. KING-FM, based on Queen Anne, tied with WWOZ in New Orleans for RAIN’s “Best Streaming Broadcast Station” category.

KING-FM assistant music director Maggie Stapleton was also a winner of the 2014 “30 Under 30” category for her work on the new streaming channel Second Inversion, launched in May 2014 by Classical KING-FM to share contemporary classical music.

KING-FM has been recognized in the past for being a public radio station with five streaming channels, weekly in-studio live broadcasts, original on-demand arts interviews and music programming, and Smartphone applications. It previously won the first-ever “Streamers Award” for online broadcast excellent from Real Networks in 2012.
